Lokale Agenda 21

Poster design for the 20th anniversary event series of “Lokale Agenda 21 Wien”, an organisation dedicated to sustainable urban development in Vienna.

As a theme for the poster we chose “urban jungle”. The Illustration includes references to some of LA21 Wien’s projects and fields of activity, like cycling, urban gardening and local markets. The two painting figures, for example, refer to LA21’s efforts to support citizen’s initiatives concerning urban development. The yellow squares refer to the organisation’s commemorative work, in particular the “Steine der Erinnerung” (Stones of Remembrance). Their many intercultural projects are represented by a depiction of two women drinking coffee, refering to the project “Sprachencafé” (Language Cafe).
